This is a story inspired by Humon's "Love and Tentacles" webcomic. She did such a wonderful job depicting Lenn and Ahmed that I immediately put this file together for you DA folks to read.

EDIT: WHOA! Thanks for all the faves, people! Way too many for me to reply to all of them. You are awesome!
Thrown me into fear, this one. I am afraid for the world in question - tentaculas turned to be far more alien then i thought. If Humon states that humans actually can't crossbreed with them, then there's no happy outcome possible whatsoever. Two reproductively isolated, mutually xenophobic races on one planet = bad, you just read any scifi describing similar scenario. Opinions of those few who can actually coexist wan't be taken into consideration, they will be branded as freaks and traitors to their race as the tensions heat up.
Yep. This ain't a happy world. Sometimes the only happiness there is, is what two people who love each other can find in each other's arms, as pointless and temporary as that is.

I didn't expect a story about a tentacula to be so sweet. I've been reading Humon's "Love and Tentacles," (and all of her comics) but it's more of a "cute and fluffy" sort of thing than a "wow, these characters really need each other and they fit together perfectly" story, which is how this feels. Beautiful writing, and I love the plot!
